wishlist goodie of the week...

Having began as a jewelry designer some years ago with the ideology that there is nothing more beautiful than the juxtaposition of something refined coupled with something a bit more rough-hewn, I find that I am still attracted to the same type of pieces.  Jamie Joseph’s white agate ring and necklace are studded with a tiny diamond to give this otherwise simple yet edgy piece an elegant touch of sophistication.  Naturally, the ring tops my summer wish list…

I have to be honest – one of the things I love most about Lucky. magazine is the fact that we have not yet fallen upon the middle of the month, and already the next month’s issue is on newsstands {I just hope domino soon follows such an early bird schedule!}.  The May issue was a particularly fat one – {this always makes me delightfully gleeful} and features a ring that stopped me in my page turning tracks… the silver “Scarab” ring by Alex Streeter calls to my obsession with all things Egyptian – yet unlike the gilded and heavily ornamented pieces that are the hallmark of the Old and New Kingdoms, this piece is exquisitely understated.  Who knew a beetle could evoke such edgy elegance?
