Yes - things have been rather quiet here at Athena Says - though not so much in the Altman household. I am days away from my due date and have been suffering from a terrible bout of PNS {psycho nesting syndrome} - I am finding wild enjoyment in things like touching up chipped paint in my hallways at 11pm and realphabetizing my entire book collection - I am driving my husband mad. Needlesstosay, things are bound to stay a bit quiet for a few weeks as we bring our third sweet girl home - so may I wish you all a wonderful summer and in the meantime, be sure to check out my daily reads list to the left - they are all truly superstar bloggers that inspire me everyday - well - those days that I am not cleaning the faucet heads in my home with q-tips...

A wonderful little gem of a book I picked up at Anthropologie in Atlanta - This Little Piggy Went to Prada by Amy Allen and illustrated by Eun-Kyung Kang - subtitled "Nursery Rhymes for the Blahnik Brigade":
Hush-A-Bye Baby
"Hush-a-bye Baby, in Mummy's arms, When she wears Tod's, you'll come to no harm. When, in her Gina's, she's not quite so sound, You're safer with Daddy, both feet on the ground."

If she had a choice in the matter, Adie would live on avocado rolls and miso soup. As such, I am beyond thrilled that Mahar Drygoods just received these fabulous felt bento boxes from Lilly Bean! I just ordered a set and can’t wait to see the look on her face when it arrives in the post – now if I can keep her from trying to eat it we’ll be in good shape!

Yes, I am a blogging fool today! But I had to post these adorable animal cushions I saw on Holly’s decor8. The modern prints are perfect for the hippest tots – I just wish they were sold separately! Sold at Design Public.

Ayla has finally started sleeping through the night – I say finally as if she should have been doing this a month after she made her arrival; the thing is about second babies – you forget everything from the first time around! I think I had convinced myself that Adie was sleeping through the night at a month old! Is that possible? I don’t know – I don’t remember. Just a few short nights ago we moved Ayla from the bassinet that was tucked between my husband and I in our bed to her crib – I thought I would be sleeping better – but now, I lay awake listening for the faintest fuss. So as fatigue truly takes a hold of my body, I thought I would just post some beautiful images I found at papa stour…

… continue to help Adie to learn how to ride her brand new bright red Radio Flyer. Few products evoke such vivid visions of childhood as the Radio Flyer Tricycle – though she can barely reach the pedals, Adie seemed to understand the concept after just a few minutes – she will be the leader of the pack by the end of the summer! Have a lovely weekend!
