Though my daughter Ayla is named for the Terebinth tree – the tree that my husband and I planted on our first date at the Jewish National Forest in Israel – her name is also translated in Hebrew to Oak Tree. Naturally, I could not resist picking up this gold-dipped Leafy Oak leaf in the Black Hills. Upon arriving home I added the aquamarine, as it is Adie’s birthstone. I can’t seem to take this off! And to my delight, as we were enjoying the Living History Days in Nebraska City this weekend (home of the Arbor Day Foundation), I found gold dipped Pointed Oak leaf earrings – I will have to add some embellishments to those as well – ahhh – I love Fall.
