White Zombie member Sean Yseult has recently launched her collection of must have scarves for the season – they are Pucci meets rock ‘n roll and the designs are incredible. The Fall Collection is full of moody hues and eye-popping prints – the Spring Collection is also still available and is of equal beauty… I find the prints so inspiring…
If you read Cookie Magazine – one of my favorites – you might be familiar with the illustrations by Stina Persson. Her sexy pen and ink drawings always accompany the “ask mrs. young” article. After finally taking a moment to visit her site, I was awestruck by her entire portfolio – absolutely gorgeous! I had such a difficult time choosing one to post – ultimately I had to choose the redhead in pink because it is so very me...
I think it must be the change in season – the thought of a warm oven and bubbling soups upon the stove – but all I want to buy are dishes and serving pieces. As I embrace visions of candle-lit dinner parties near the fireplace, I am loving these stunning new serving pieces at Horchow.
The monochromatic collection @ Barneys this season is so 50’s siren with such lady-like appeal. I can never have too much black and gray…
Having a chandelier in nearly every room in my house, I am loving theses funky pieces by lusterbunny at the fabulous indie designer boutique purplepinkandorange.com. This shop is packed to the brim with some of the hottest up and coming designers – you are sure to find anything your heart desires – from art to jewelry – and luscious soaps to must-have handbags!
The not so good news - Juniper Home will not be ready for a Fall 2006 launch. The great news – it will be bigger and more fabulous than I had originally imagined with a Spring 2007 launch – plus sneak peeks throughout the next few months {like this pillow from the Aphrodite Collection pictured above!}
Though my daughter Ayla is named for the Terebinth tree – the tree that my husband and I planted on our first date at the Jewish National Forest in Israel – her name is also translated in Hebrew to Oak Tree. Naturally, I could not resist picking up this gold-dipped Leafy Oak leaf in the Black Hills. Upon arriving home I added the aquamarine, as it is Adie’s birthstone. I can’t seem to take this off! And to my delight, as we were enjoying the Living History Days in Nebraska City this weekend (home of the Arbor Day Foundation), I found gold dipped Pointed Oak leaf earrings – I will have to add some embellishments to those as well – ahhh – I love Fall. For Autumn inspired piece, be sure to visit one of my favorite designers – Dreams&Jewelry whose new collections are truly breathtaking!
Stationery designer Ben Webster of Seraph Stationery has stolen my heart with his simple, yet provoking collection of letterpress cards. Based in Salt Lake City, he is truly a renaissance man and his love of the craft is evident in his beautiful designs. For more on Seraph and to buy, click here.
I am in love, love, love with the work of designer Emily Barnes of Blossom Luxe. Her pieces are all at once sophisticated and ethereal. Her Etsy shop is full of luscious jewels like the Sea Nymph earrings pictured above. And if you are an aspiring jewelry designer, or simply need your fill of eye candy, be sure to also check out Emily’s blog where you will find well written and easy to follow beading tutorials. What a find!
